Overview
Bluescope was approached by a group of Event Management students from Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) in November 2016 to discuss the development of a website to promote an upcoming event. These students understood that operating a website is a vital aspect to not only businesses, but to events also. As a website runs 24 hours a day, customers can always find the information they need while providing them with the facility to purchase tickets online for events.
The event in which the students from LIT have planned is a Heroes VS Villains 5K Super Run in aid of their chosen charity, Share a Dream Foundation, who continuously do everything in their power to make dreams come true for children who are terminally ill. Attendees dress up as their favourite Superhero or Villain and all proceeds made go towards the Share a Dream Foundation.
As we were aware that all proceeds go towards a fantastic charity, Bluescope became a sponsor of the event by creating and hosting this website free of charge.
The finalised website allows users to find all information regarding the event, including how to purchase tickets, and contains integrated forms in which users can contact the organisers directly.
Duration of Development
Bluescope began website development in mid-November 2016 and the website was completed at the beginning of December 2016.
